Today I’m incredibly excited to take you on a tour through Steve Jones home. Steve Jone’s is an old friend of mine and was my mentor on the COCOCOZY Design House! Steve has an interesting story. He grew up in Laguna Beach and worked for QuickSilver for many years. In the last 10-15 years, he has changed directions and took on flipping homes. He has flipped almost 150 homes in Los Angeles!
First off for reference – Steve has a much different design style than I do. His home gives off a very eclectic + vintage feeling. While there are some edgier items Steve also has an appreciation for luxury. Together the blended style creates a unique experience that makes one want to explore.
The living room is a great example of blended styles. There is tasteful artwork, sculptural pieces that look like they were acquired while traveling, and a Hermes blanket. I personally love the bright white walls paired with a palette with a heavy focus on earth tones.
This Spanish Colonial Revival has amazing bones! First off, this fireplace is stunning. The green tiles look great paired with the black and white accents in this space. The mini gallery wall adds the perfect touch of artwork and interest. But, we can’t forget about all of the ceramic sculptures. This unique whimsy is what makes Steve’s home personal and unique!
The final image of the living room shows off the full effect of the design. The mix of eccentric and regal walks a thin line but balances perfectly. I love the armchairs and reoccurring pops of green. The architecture of this room alone is jaw-dropping. The archway adds an open feeling and the blast of sunline makes this room shine.
