Four new patterns have been added to the Marks and Spencer Comfortably Cool bedding range, and they’re already selling like hot-cakes – or should that be cool-cakes?
The Comfortably Cool bedding is specially designed to keep core body temperatures cool, whatever the weather. The original range of plain bedding proved such a hit, Marks & Spencer have added to it with four new grown up designs.

Each design is based on a hand-painted print, to lend a colourful, but sophisticated air to the bedding. The comfortably cool spot bedding has already proved a massive hit, and is currently the second best selling bedding at Marks & Spencer.
‘The range has been so successful, we wanted to offer the customer even more choice by adding design bedding to the collection,’ explains Lisa Read, senior designer on bedding. ‘These new designs each feature a hand-painted print developed in-house by our talented team of designers, to complement the Comfortably Cool plain dye colour palette.’
‘The new collection features a pretty, feminine trailing floral, a delicate layered spot, a very simple modern grid and a beautiful diamond tile, all painted with soft layers of translucent water colours creating beautiful calming designs,’ she adds.
Let’s take a look at the gorgeous new designs.
The icy blue colour palette of this diamond pattern is the perfect pop of colour against muted grey walls in a bedroom.
This romanic pink and blue floral watercolour design is one of our favourites designs. It will transform your bed into a work of art, that you can’t wait to curl up in.
This subtle check design is the colourful antidote to a harsh black and white geometric designs. The mix of purple and blues gives this pattern a subtle feminine touch.
How does the bedding work?
The fabric used to make the bedding is a Tencel rich blend. Tencel is a sustainably sourced fibres of the eucalyptus tree.
The natural material works by drawing moisture away from the skin, helping to regulate core body temperature. By keep your body temperature regular you’re less likely to feel hot, irritable and uncomfortable. Thus aiding a better night’s sleep.
The range also includes the Comfortably Cool 1 Tog duvet, for those look for the full cool sleeping experience. With a pure cotton cover and clever Climate Control technology, this super light and airy summer duvet regulates body temperature to aid a good night’s rest – while acting as a comforter.
